Visiting Teachers

MIM invites experienced guest teachers on a dana / donation basis. 

Suggested dana amounts
You are free to give any amount dependent on your financial situation. The following is a guide for those wondering how much to give.

Weekly sits with a teacher
Suggested base dana:  $10-$20 supports the teacher for the time taken to prepare and present the teachings
Suggested supporting dana: $20-$50 supports the teacher for the time taken plus support their day to day life to dedicate to the buddha dharma

MONDAY NIGHT - Visiting Teacher Schedule 

Sits run from 7.30pm-9pm and are held every week, we occasionally have visiting teachers who come to offer a dharma talk.. The Monday sit is held face-to-face at Ceres Environment Park.

Time: 7.15pm, for a prompt 7:30pm start - 9pm
Venue: CERES Learning Centre, Lee Street, East Brunswick (walk to end of Lee Street, turn right across courtyard garden)
Cover charge: $10/$5; plus dana (monetary gift) to any visiting teachers appreciated. If you are unable to pay to full amount that is fine, just contact us. We don't want anyone to miss out on accessing the teachings. 

​We sit every week on Monday except public holidays, Melbourne Cup eve and Christmas/New Year summer break. Dharma facilitators give guided meditation if a teacher is not scheduled. ​

TUESDAY NIGHT - Visiting Teacher Schedule 

Sits run from 7.30pm-9pm and are held every week, we occasionally have visiting teachers who come to offer a dharma talk.. The Tuesday sit is held face-to-face at Stanley Ave Studio and online via zoom.
